Description

Make some noise for The Squawking Bird — a vibrant and humorous piece from Paul Myrick’s “Tiki Drinks” series featured on The Parodies.

Originally created in watercolor, this artwork captures the playful chaos of classic tiki culture, complete with bold color and mid-century charm. The high-quality canvas wrap brings the spirit of the tropics to any wall — perfect for a home bar, lounge, or any space that could use a touch of exotic energy.

A bright, hand-drawn parrot rendered as a playful fruit-drink character floats across a yellow background. The matte-stretched canvas gives the artwork a soft, painterly finish that keeps colors lively without glare. Hung in a cozy kitchen corner, a sunlit studio, or a child’s art-filled bedroom, this piece brings a lively, whimsical mood—like a little laugh caught on the wall. The modest depth (1.25″) and clean pine frame keep the look modern and approachable while the rubber dots and included back-hanging make installation simple and stable. Printed with low-emissions latex inks on a durable cotton-poly canvas and stretched over FSC-sourced pine, it’s built to brighten a room with a lighthearted, handcrafted spirit.
